I didn't mean Italy invented Latin, I meant the country Italy is in the same geographical location as where Latin was born.

Yes, it was, but in Middle Ages, as an italian writer, De Crescenzo, said, italian motto was:
"Please, sit down" :D
In our country past Spanishes, Germans, Arabians, Austrians, Frenchs, Northmans...and so on...
