so far so good, but that are little parts of which I don't seem to like very much.

1: The lines don't seem to blend smoothly in these areas

2: for some reason these areas don't look right because of the drop shadow effect.

The "Welcome" in the top section looks strange. I'd personally lose the sort of bulbous shape it's got and change the font of the capital letter back to what the rest of it is.

Also, on the top, what's that blue bar doing? It doesn't seem to be serving any purpose.

Other than that, a very nice template!

There can be more than one place for navigation. I dunno, it could be a place for scrolling news messages, or a stock ticker, there's all sorts of things you could do with that.

Overall it looks pretty nice, but I'm not much a fan of websites that look like that and don't fancy myself a good judge. (I have more of a taste for clean lines and whatnot)

the blue bar will be there for scrolling announcments and the welcome text was just to look how to put text in that place
