damn that's some skin palette. kudos.

-- wait, no-- there're 40 shades in the palette for the skin alone -- and 418 in the image D:

if you want to be received well in the pixelling world you need a much smaller palette. But you're not doomed; a lot of your shades are totally unnecessary, you can reduce this down to probably around 20 colors.

As for the piece itself, the only thing that looks a little off is the eye under the hair--maybe if you shade the white a little darker and add the darker eyelash around it, it won't stick out.

I'm tempted to call this non-pixel art. 383 colours(He had some stray white brush marks) is ridiculous.
Here is my 5 minute crappy edit from 383 colours to 11.

Yeah, I used photoshop for some recolors. but the rest is all paint.
