Yeah, love that arm swinging action.
7 frames?
I liked the feet in the old one. One leg goes farther back then the other, like it's slipping.

I'd love to see you push the animation more. Like bounce to the hair or a head twist. But don't burn your self out. After I made that run cycle I quite. You do a lot of sprite work so I bet you could do it.
 
I would animate the hair and stuff but I need to finish as many poses as I can first because I'm running out of time :<

Also I believe it's 8 frames orz

For future reference, Nessiah, I recommend that when you're doing smooth animated sprites, you do all the animation templates first and then fill in the details for each. It's SO much easier doing it that way around. Having to animate every detailed pixel from scratch becomes very challenging and it leads you to do some lazy, bodged work. Take the arms on your new animation, for example. It seems to kink awkwardly in places. I think this animation shows that you have a good idea where you are going with this stuff, but I feel that you've gone about it the wrong way.

To be honest, I think this sprite might be unrescuable now as there's just too much confusing detail to help give you proper advice. My recommendation would be to scratch this animation and do another for a different character, or attempt this one again. Don't be dismayed, you'll probably find you do better a second time around.

My animations here have been done by doing animating the templates. I'd then go back over the guy and put in the detail. That's pretty simple when I don't have to worry about how long the legs are, or how it's squashing and stretching. Those issues have been dealt with and I can just concentrate on the detail. That's the way I recommend you do it.

and since i'm working on my game and have not released anything yet (Hardly known about) I'd like to ask you if I could PM it to you?
 
I don't share monster sprites unfortunately. They are hard to design and animate as it is.
Haha thats very true, about sharing original sprites no one can use it without your permission. :biggrin:

So you do request to tales of sprites? well nice to hear, since I'm making a game "Tales of Rose" ("Tales of" Fangame) then, may I ask a request? since I'm having hard time to look for a tale of sprite to fit my Main Character "Rose"... well it's reason enough for me to request since I'm hardly better than you, who would have thought comparing my sprites with yours makes mine looks like "Trash' no offence to myself of course! ^^

So here Goes:

Proof of work/project topic/etc: I have no proof currently to show since I'm in an internet cafe currently (Bringing my USB) but I'm truely being busy currently with this 3rd project of mine (Tale of Rose) cause if you know who I am, you'll know that I'm the kind of person who loves to make numerous different styled projects, since the time I'm still at RRR

Alright I'll check it out. However, if you do have time to post screenshots of your game that'll be nice.

For animation...
I redraw them frame by frame as some smudges like this:

Nice! ^^ I'll post the screenshot this sunday, since that's the only day I can use my comp at home! ^^ thanks! ^^ btw, I'm kinda jealous of you, I don't know how to animate flows of hair and dresses... :(

EDIT:

I just noticed the gif image there (haven't noticed earlier to how slow the internet loads images), wow, thanks! My only problem now is the flows of hairs and dresses... but that swinging you did is helpfull! ^^ thanks! but my problem tho is spriting the weapon and how the battler interacts while swingin the weapon, but hopefully I have no more problem in making smudges for weapon swings. ^^
