Racing/flying game with events or scripts?

Did not know where to put this so I figured here. Searched around and found MANY hopeless posts...oh, well.

Recently, I've had a strong desire to create a racing/flying game. It has to be in 2d or 2.5d because my computer is OLD. So, I have a few questions:

Whew...here we go...

1.Is it possible to do with events?

2.Could it be done with scripts?

3. Is RMXP or PMVX the right choice for this type of game?

4.Could some one make a tutorial? (I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants this type of game.)

Important info about my questions:

1.I'm aware that I would need pictures representing the vehicles/characters.

2.The racing game view could be from the behind the car. It could be a side view racing game like sonic
games, using people.

3.The kind of racing game I want is like F-Zero but doesn't have to be strictly to the book. (Or game.)

4.The flying game could be like a flying simulator using planes or spacecraft. It also could be a side view game like Astroboy (planning on creating new game based on it: Teen-Astro. Be aware that in Teen-Astro, I want him to be able to fly when ever he wants.) Maybe a top down game, but I'm not fond of those.

I've also been thinking about a racer game in rmxp, but i just haven't gotten myself to start with it. Of course its possible to do with events. Luckily, the newest version of the mode07 script lets you rotate the map, so you might wanna try making this game of yers. Id like to help by the way, with basically anything.... (graphics, eventing the driving/flying system...)

Hmmm...I tried the neo mode 7 before. The trouble is that my computer is VERY OLD and VERY SLOW with this. I'll try it, but I will need help with the graphics and event system. I need hover cars and planes.

Any other suggestions while I try this?

What about a scrolling game? (Astroboy) I need help with that too...

Could you make a tutorial and post it?

@sondex: Side scrollers seem very old-fashioned to me, so I wouldnt try it myself, but you can of course (even though mode07 is better)

LOL! Yeah, I should get a new one...I have a laptop, (Old but not as old as this one.) but it needs to be fixed.
I'm making mutiple games:

1.Racing (Hover crafts and such)
2.Scrolling (Teen-Astro)
3.Forae (On hold because my files were corrupted. Don't ask me how...)

I'm doing them one at a time. If you want, you can make a tut on the event system and/or make some pictures for the vehicles.

That, corz, is entirely irrelevant to the topic at hand. Yes, it is cool that it is legible, but that does not help me make a racing/flying game. Put it in your sig like it says.

I had o ask MCaladtoglel about the mode07 rotation features, so i had to wait for a while. But he finally answered, so I think its gonna work out.

....hmpf... looks like i wont be able to pull off anything until the mode07 script makes the player movement buttons rotate with the cam.....

Hmmm...That would make it hard for turns and things such as that, correct? The controls would be screwed up the moment you turned. To fix the problem we would need to modify the neo mode7 script.
