Question regarding Battle Events for RMXP

It's been a while since I was last here but anyways, I am hoping that someone would help me with this dilemma of mine.

You see, I am trying to make a battle tutorial at the start of the game where the player is introduced to how the battle system works. I understand how to input messages in-battle adding dialogues and such but I am at a slump when I try to think of a way to do something like this.

I wanted to make it so that throughout the battle, the player is guided on what he/she can do in a step by step manner.

For example, at the start of the battle the following text is shown:
This is what a battle looks like.
At the start of the battle, you are given an option
to choose whether you want to Fight or Run.
In this battle, we are going to fight so
choose the <FIGHT> option located at the
bottom of the window.

I managed to do this using the Show Text in the battle event. However, I do not know where to go from there since I want it so that the event would check whether the <FIGHT> option was selected. If it was then it would process another message where the options such as Attack, Magic, Defend, Item is shown explaining to the player what each option does. Then it would tell the player to select "Attack" which is the only thing that the player would be able to select for the moment.

I don't know how to make it so that the event would check if the player has made the right selection. It's sort of like the tutorial battle for Grandia 3.

I'm using Minkoff's Animated Battlers Enhanced ver. 11.2 by the way. I hope that someone would help me out with this. Thank you.

There is the option to "force action" on the 3rd page of the event catalog. I am not sure how to manipulate it so that there is only one selection the character can make but at least this is a start.
