Question before I purchase FL Studio 8 Producer Edition

I'm wanting to buy FL Studio 8 Producer Edition used. I just want to talk to somebody that owns it about how many discs come with it new, how many boxes come with it, how many manuals come with it, if there are any plugs, wires, or inputs that come with it, and anything else that would come with the purchase of this program if I bought it new. I just want to know so I can make sure that I'm getting everything that would come with it new from the person selling it.

Not to seem mad or like I'm complaining, but I've only had one view on this and I need to make this purchase soon if I'm going to do it and if anyone can give me there input on this subject that would be great!

Personally, I think FL is a waste of money even when gotten for free. I say this because in my opinion, it is better to learn real notation rather than piano rolls or loops. To each his own, though, and if you want it, get it. If you don't, then don't. I just think that there are much better programs out there.

I appreciate your opinion, but I would still like somebody to tell me about what comes with the new purchase so I can make sure the seller isn't leaving stuff out.

I've searched everywhere on the net for about half an hour and I couldn't find any unboxing videos or pictures with the package unboxed, nor do any sites selling the product show the package contents. You will have to contact Image-Line from their site to know.

ive been using FL for like 8 years, and on the outside from someone who hasnt used it a lot it looks very simple but it has most of the things that more expensive and usually tagged as better apps have. seems like people always badmouth FL, but it gets the job done just as well as anything else.

but on the flip side like holk said, you arent going to learn notation from it.

id assume theres some sort of free midi program that uses notation, and if one wanted to write music that way midi files are easily imported into FL where you can put higher quality samples and master it.

i dunno, bottom line, i love FL, ive tried other apps, but when it comes down to it im stuck in my ways.

on a side note, i use FL 3.56, ive tried newer versions out(4, 6, 7), but i tend to like my good ol trusty 3.56 better
