Question about Scripts between XP-VX

Hey all,

I have been out of the loop for a while regarding this new RPG Maker, so here is my question. Does it also use Ruby? And if so, can existing scripts from an XP game be transferred to a VX game or will a new script need to be re-written.

Please don't flame, I have a feeling this has been asked before but I did a quick search and couldn't find an answer.

No, XP scripts, to my knowledge, cannot be directly used in VX

That's a shame. Well, I'll try downloading this new one when I get off work and see what's up with it.

Scripts from RPG Maker XP and VX both use Ruby, but their systems are different, in some cases, substantially (for example, the Tilemap class in RGSS and RGSS 2).  Scripts that use only RGSS's capabilities (except Tilemap) are more easily transferable between XP and VX than other scripts.
