Question about MP3 Composing... (lack of better forum)

First off, I'm almost certain this is the wrong forum, and I'm sorry ahead of time. I couldn't find a better place for this.

Now then...

What program/programs would you recommend for composing MP3s? I had a program a while back that was rather nifty, but it has been a long long time since I've even tried... So, I doubt I'll find it again, and I was wondering what everyone else prefers to use. I'm also hoping for something really user-friendly.

Well, I personally use Reason 3.0 along side a midi composition program... Reason has a decent library of orchestral and synth sounds, and uses Piano Roll format, but you can import midis from other programs if you don't like using Piano Roll, and prefer standard notation. Others that use standard notation and that produce Mp3s are Sibelius, Finale, and Harmony Assistant, though in my opinion, Finale and Sibelius are much better than HA. There are plenty of others out there, and I think most of them have a free trial so you can see which one fits your composing style best (or fits your wallet best, for that matter. Composition programs definitely don't come cheap very often, in terms of the average rmxp user's budget...).

I have a trial of Finale, and its very user friendly, but a tad tricky to get the hang of unless you have a keyboard to plug in... And I lack a keyboard.
I remember seeing a few videos of Reason 4.0, and it looks a tad scary in my opinion... I'll defiantly check out those other programs you listed, though.
You've been a lot of help. Thank you. If you can think of any more, feel free to post them.

EDIT:: Tried Reason 4.0... Too intimidating. I'm gonna see if I can find a 3.0 demo.
