Purchasing XP and VX

Well, not exactly (sort of :shades.

I decided to give in and actually buy ONE of these makers, because they are quite pricey. I read somewhere, though, that the key you purchase for RMXP can also be used on RMVX, so it's like a two for one. Is this intentional (like, should I be allowed to do this), or is it even true? If I buy VX, can I use the key for XP?

I'm really only concerned because if I had to choose one, I would go with VX, but if purchasing XP means I get VX with it, well shit the bed, I'll get XP!

I apologize if this has been asked before, I know it's a touchy subject with a lot of people on support forums, so just to let you know I *DID* search in advance. Thank you.

It is unintentional but it does work (with version 1.02). I do not know about the new version they just released so be careful. The new version is half the price though I think ($30).

The new XP (1.04) has no new features other than a better piracy protection thing or something.

I ended up buying XP because of how much cheaper it was but my product key was never e-mailed to me. To anyone else who bought it, do you remember how long it took for them to send it to you?

Wow, really, it takes that long? That's horrible service. Good thing they have a trial period.

Mine too. I think for both XP & VX, the email was in my inbox by the time I had the software installed.

Just for clarification, if one uses an XP key to use VX, that's piracy as well, so you might as well use a keygen for both of them...

Yes, get a keygen and enjoy the virus that comes along with it. If anything, just use the key when you paid for it; at least you put some money into it and you wont get your computer infected.

I didn't say use a keygen instead of the key you'll get (in fact, I didn't suggest to use a keygen at all), just that it's just as legal as using an XP key for VX.
