I'm a newbie to RPG Maker =) I figure the best way for me to obtain assistance with areas in which I lack is to offer my skills in return.
Basically what the topic says. I can do professional quality male voices in a variety of styles, narrate your introduction, provide sound effects for your characters in battle (attacking, being hit, dying, special attacks by name, etc...). I am also an english and creative writing major, and can review all of your dialogue, grammar and spelling for accuracy, as well as contribute additional advice regarding your story, plot, characters and overall concept as needed.
Basically, as it stands right now, I am still working on the design document for my game. However, I will provide any of these things immediately for one or more people who are willing to make some character sprites and/or battle animations for me in return when the time comes.
A sample of my voice can be found in this zip file: www.mediafire.com/?gt0fjoyomin which includes the following:
* Light-hearted, standard hero/other character voice (Light Hearted.mp3)
* Agitated voice, best suited to a smart ass or wisecracking character (Annoyed.mp3)
* Older person's voice, best suited to an Elder/Wise man type of character (Elder.mp3)
* Loud, obnoxious, commanding/demanding voice, best suited to a noble, no-nonsense ruler, or villain (Angry.mp3)
* A villain/anti-hero voice with additional echo effect for dramatization (Epic.mp3)
* Slightly-crazed/quirky voice, perfect for a shopkeeper, odd NPC, or other male character with some "issues" (Eccentric.mp3)
* A copy of the voice-over of Jade's Indignation ability from Tales of the Abyss, spliced with battle music from Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV: Wall of Fire for the PSX. This serves as a good primer for my capability with battle-voices. (SuperEpic.mp3) - The original can be found here for reference www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtCiP8B2xpc
* A narration of the first 2:30 of the Lord of the Rings, Fellowship of the Ring introduction, spliced with the musical theme from Requiem for a Dream, for a basic overview of my narrative capabilities (Narration.mp3)
I work at home, with Audacity and Goldwave, in a sound-proofed room which serves as my studio. The files included in the .zip are of merely average quality for ease of download. Anything I do for you will be in completely lossless format, digitized and optimized for use in any setting your game requires.
I might also be capable of doing styles that may not be immediately apparent from the sample files. If you are unsure, don't hesitate to ask me, and we can try to work something out.
Feel free to respond here or send me a PM. Thanks =)
I should point out, since it may become an issue down the line; while I have been paid for my voice acting skills, I have done mostly local radio commercials. I have -not- professionally done a video game character. This does not mean I believe myself any less capable, it's simply a disclaimer for those who will inevitably ask and then point it out =)
