Problems getting my game to work on other computers.

Hey,
I used RMXP to play my game; and now - upon sending it to my friend, it will open but then immediately close again. I did a google search and saw that someone with the same problem on a different site was told to have their friend install the RTP; so I followed suit and asked her to do so. However, the same problem still comes up - the game opens momentarily, before closing again.
Is there an alternate solution to this problem?
Thanks!

Is she running XP or Vista?

Perhaps the RTP was not installed correctly, or the game doesn't realize that it is installed. You're better off just importing the graphics into your game so that end user doesn't have to install the RTP.

Also, you need to include the file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\RGSS102E.dll  This file should be placed into game's directory.

Thanks so much!

**And she's running XP

***Okay! So now she gets the message that says "rgss-rtp standard not found" which leads me to believe that the installation might have not gone right; or the game doesn't recognize its there.

I didn't get this problem when I did this for XP. How are you sending it? I just got them to download the whole software, including the programme and RTP, install it, and then it worked easily. Try getting them to download it from box.net if you arn't doing so already.
