Problem with events! Help!

Top of the morning to you all.

I have an Autorun event in one part of my game that functions very improperly, but it only happens when I play test my entire game or load a file. The only time it works is when I set the player's starting position on the map that the event is on and then run it as a new game...works perfectly then.

I was wondering WHY THE HELL this happens and how to fix it before I go completely insane from frustration! Forgive me if I'm overreacting.

Any help would be ultra appreciated. I'd be happy to post the event layout if anyone would like me to.
 
Post a screenshot of your event, since I don't really get what could cause this problem, just from the info you gave us.
Once you do that I would be glad to have a look at it.
 
I'm a little unclear about your problem, but I'll try my best (tell me if I misunderstood). It sounds like you're expecting the Autorun to work on every map? It only works when the player is on the same map as the event. If you want something to continue everywhere, try a Common Event instead.

If that's not it, would you care to elaborate or post the event commands you're using?
 
Okay, I'll post the actual event and the one that processes right before it (the one in the previous map. Give me a minute or seven.

EDIT: @above post: I don't want the autorun event to work on every map, just the one that it's on. The Autorun event on map x is having issues is all I'm saying.
 
Okay here are my event layouts:

Here's the one that comes before it, which transfers the player to the map in which the Autorun event is on.

The specific place where the event freezes is when Event1 moves Down x5
By the way, I whiped out the text because I didn't want to spoil anything.
 
I would venture a guess:
Ev001 is trying to move down but is blocked by an event/tile that is not passable. But since it tells the game to wait for move completion it freezes.
This wouldn't explain why it only happens after a transfer though...
Just in case nobody finds the solution with that (I only skimmed it since I am kind of busy just now) I would suggest a little demo thing of the part in question so that i can backcheck with the actual map (movement errors are often commected to maps)

You've got a definite suspect in that Wait for Move's Completion. Why not set all the events and the player to "Through"? That's the easiest way to test it.

Also, you don't have anything that turns off your Autorun. You might want to do that to ensure that there are no problems.
 
You know at this point, I don't even care if anyone sees what I'm working on. I'm going to PM you the game so you can see what the problem is, Dalton. It will be just between you and me, of course unless you go distributing it, in which case I'd have to kill you.

Don't ask me what was wrong with it, but... Once I removed the wait for moves completion after you made EV001 turn down it worked fine for me...
But the game crashes in several other parts for me. Everytime I try to shut down the game without the use of the menu for example(which I suppose is some bug in the script you are using), or at some part of the intro. Maybe you should have a look at that as well.
