I've made 19 mock up screens, presented below. I've also uploaded them to a rar and put it on rapidshare at this link.
Basicly it's a new custom menu. But, when the players click up and down on the main menu, the scene at the right changes to "preview" the contents. There's a total of seven options (Status, Powers, Items, Equips, Quests, Save, Quit). When hovering, for example, ITEM, the scene at the right would show the items of the group. clicking on it would take to a new window to manage this, and so on for every other window.

Above is the basic you see when the player enters the menu screen. The cursor would be over Status. When selected...

This is the Status screen. moving the cursor up and down would change the Status of the various actors. When pressed right...
http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/457/scenestatusfluffpf9.th.png[/img]
This screen would show up, with any background-related information about the actor. The player would need to press left to go back to the actor selecting screen, or pressing the cancel button to return to the menu.
On the initial menu, if the player hovers the cursor on Powers...

By selecting the Power menu, the player go to a screen like the one below, where he can move up and down to selet the actor and press the decision button to view more details about the powers...
http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/3199/scenepoweroverviewud6.th.png[/img]
actor selected, the power_details menu allows the player to move up and down the powers with a cursor, and the left scene would change to show the current details about the selected power (on the example below, the FireFox at-will power)
http://img371.imageshack.us/img371/5815/scenepowerspecscl6.th.png[/img]
Hovering the ITEM, the right scene would show what the group has on the backpack:
http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/731/scenemenuhoveringitemsfr1.th.png[/img]
Selecting the Item, this new menu allow the player to see the propertie of the item just putting the cursos over it. Selecting the item with the decision button would put a cursor on the right scene to the player chose wich actor will benefit from the item.
http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/9792/sceneitembm4.th.png[/img]
When the players hover the cursor over the Equips, the screen would change to show the equipped gear of each actor, as show below:
http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/8562/scenemenuhoveringequipsws5.th.png[/img]
And, in this next screen, you'll see what appears when the player selects Equips from the Menu. Moving the cursor up and down would change the upper-right scene to show the actor equips along with faceset and actor_name. Downright shows the backpacked gear, organized in wpn>arm>shld>misc (wich is miscelaneous... rings, cloaks, boots...)
http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/2029/sceneequipsoverviewsd5.th.png[/img]
On the next screen, there's plenty of scenes. the player would first choose what gear to change on the up-right. when selected the cursor go to the down-right scene, where he'll choose the new equip. the up-left screen show the current gear, and down-left show a comparison between the old and new equip.
http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/8668/sceneequipschangeki8.th.png[/img]
When the player hovers the cursor over the Quest button, it'll show avaiable quest splitted in main and sub, and below it'l show the already completed quest, both main and sub (since when it's done, it won't really matter anymore if it was main or sub)
http://img239.imageshack.us/img239/5875/scenemenuhoveringquestsjy3.th.png[/img]
When selected, Quests will lead to here. The right scene the player uses a cursor to navigate between the three quest-types: main, sub and completed. at the left scene he'll see info on the quest. this way, even if the quest was completed, the player can see if it was a main or subquest.
http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/9075/scenequestsiw3.th.png[/img]
Now... when the player hovers Save or Quit, the screen it'll show is the same, so he'll knows when quitting or saving when was the last saved game, to think if he needs to save or not.
http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/6230/scenemenuhoveringquitbu9.th.png[/img]
When selecting save, he'll choose wich save_slot he'll use. upon decision, he game will ask if he wants, to double check and avoid overwritten a file.
http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/5561/scenesavecf9.th.png[/img]
When selecting Quit, a new scene pops up and show a few questions. I don't know if including a "Yes, but go Save before" would be overkill or not...
http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/7913/scenequitzd1.th.png[/img]
..overkill or not since the game will ask to confirm the decision to quit:

Finished adding the screens. The next modification on this post will add more info, and organising this to be made cleaner and more pretty to view.
Thank you, and I'll be ready to modify this post to help you understand everything needed.
