Glory to the Purple Perihelion Party!

Let me join this battle with a little bit of spriting.
(As I need something to sign up, right?)

A medieval fool.

update 1:
An officer posing and wearing the PPP-uniform ;)

update 2:
A witch hunter battler

Thanks for any feedback or advice!

If he's a fool then why not go with one of the hats with all the dangly points?
But for a bard I don't think he needs a hat.
The gloves and feet are too dark, and the rest of the colors aren't generating enough contrast. I can only see the metal loops in the top yellow part if I zoom in.

I think it looks good, but I don't want to say too much until you finish the other frames. But until then I think that it looks pretty good. But as coy said, maybe add something to the head?

I am cell shading all my sprites a little bit, yeah.
(And thanks, I forgot the forehead)

I updated my first post with an additional sprite.
A simple posing officer with the PPP-uniform how I could imagine it would look like.
What do ya say?

edit:
I continued working on the fool, too.

I've finished the fool and I hope you like the result.
I also hope for some feedback and criticism.

Take care,

This is a witch hunter I will probably use as a battler for my current project.
Any comments? Would be great to listen to your opinion and advise.

The overall shape looks good except for the arm pit is looks too high up.

IDK if there's a name for the shading technique you used. It's not pillow shading. But if looks like when you use a gradient and then use a filter to reduce the number of colors.

I'd think if you take out some of the middle colors it'll draw less attention to the light spots. And have less of that radial look.

Thanks for your feedback!
I'll work that arm over again - it looks weird, you're right.

And... well, I don't know if you can call it a "technique" at all
(I don't know a lot about that) Anyway, I normally creat a palette and
start working pixel per pixel which always brought good results in my eyes.

I'd think if you take out some of the middle colors it'll draw less attention to the light spots. And have less of that radial look.
You sure? I think that the highlighted spots will get too much contrast and they will look too... striking.

I love the fool. Maybe u should make some animations for him like dancing or juggling or something like that.
Would be great if you make a kaizerstyle game with a great celebration on a market or stuff like that.
