Potion Switch

Hey, i'm using an ABS, and when I kill an enemy, i've made a switch so it drops a potion on the floor, and when you walk into it, you recover your HP. The problem is, when it goes onto the 2nd switch it shows the little potion on the floor, but then after about 1 second it shows the enemy graphic agian, although you can still walk into it for the hp.
Any idea on how to fix this?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you

I'm using Mr. Mo's ABS, and "Trigger *number*" on an enemy activates a switch you make, my switch number is 8 so i type "Tigger 1 8" and its meant to change the enemy graphic into a potion when it dies, and walking into it recovers your hp, it does change the graphic into a potion, but after about 1 second its the enemy graphic agian, although walking into it will still recover the hp and then erase it, its a graphic problem im having i think

Not sure about that ABS, but...

Make sure that the switch for the page with the "potion" (in the same event as the enemy), has the potion for the graphic; if you're using a "set move route" to change the graphic, that may not work well in some cases.

Also, make sure that you're not running any parallel events or anything that are setting a move route or changing the graphic for the enemy, these should be turned off when the enemy is dead.

Finally, make sure that the switch for that potion page doesn't get turned off at all. After the potion is picked up, you should use a second switch (probably a self-switch) to go to a third page with a blank event, if that's what you want.

(By the way, with blank events like that, remember to put "Through On" for them...otherwise other events won't be able to walk over it.)

If you still have problems, it's probably something with the ABS.

Hmm maybe dumb from my side, but why exactly are you using 2 of the same switches directly after each other with the same condition for? It may be a typing/clicking error, but still, its strange.
