Recently, we have made the decision that current events can be discussed as topics here in the general forum, as the previous format (a single sticky topic in the Symposium) wasn't acceptable for the kinds of discussion that current events should deserve.

- Start the topic with a link to an article (or video) on a respected news site.
- Begin discussion on the topic, share your opinion and leave it open for more.
- Do not post "news" articles about celebrity gossip, movie/game reviews, etc.
- Do post news covering scientific/medical advances, hot media topics, politics, etc.
- Controversial topics, such as abortion or gay marriage, belong in the Symposium.
- All other forum rules apply.
