Edit:
That white thing on the guitar is a plastic bag being used as a string to tie the band because I couldn't find string at that time, and I'm just that ghetto.

My musical instruments are digitally synthesized, so it's kinda hard to post a pic. (As in, I use a program that allows me to either completely synthesize an instrument, or take prerecorded sounds and mess with them to get what I want, or a combination of the two) Anyway, just look up Reason by Propellerhead if you don't get what I mean.

I think everyone in this forum knows what digitally synthed instruments are and how they work.

Its the exact model I have, only in a nicer condition. I used alot of hardwood mallets so the bars are a little warn out. They go for around $3000 but I saved up and got mine for $1700 :)

I prefer the Adams but Yamaha works just fine. I'll post some pics of my other drums soon.

Sorry, I'vejust had to explain it a few too many times, and got in the habit of explaining preemptively. Oh well, I did have a real trumpet at one point. I wonder what happened to it...

hey moog, I play xylophone in our school band! I'm switching to clarinet though.

I might post pics of my drumset (it's crap though) soon, just gotta find my camera.

Wow that's the first time I've see someone actually owning a xylophone, awesome.

And @Cruelty:

Eth, you should learn to tune it yourself. It's not that hard, and it will improve your relationship with your piano. :scruff:

Cruelty, thanks. The Ibanez 12 I've had since high school (< 1980). The explorer I made myself. I had a big hunk of birdseye maple laying around, and decided that it needed to be a guitar. Modified strat neck & pickups, and I threw in a phase shifter for giggles. The 6 string I inherited from my wife's grandfather. It has no distinguishable markings on it, so we have no idea where or when it was made. The piano I've had since I was 7.

Be Well

Trivia: I bought the 12 string from the guy who made the little sculpture sitting on the piano, in the center. I also made the magazine rack on the lower right out of some scrap cherry wood.

those are the best. :}
i love the colorful history behind your instruments. it's gotta be a bitch changing the strings on a 12 string guitar. i get irrated just changing 4. :0

i had to read this several times before realizing you meant you were using it as a string for a guitar strap and not a string-string.

bwtf does an electric with acoustic strings sound like? nylon strings? that's be awesome. probably wouldn't produce very much (if any?) sound tho  :crazy:

it sounds like a regular electric but with a bit more metallic rattling. i don't play my guitar like i'm supposed to though so it adds a cool tone.

they're not nylon strings they're PHOSPHOR BRONZE or something :(

Heh yeah, I still dream of the day when I can play a guitar with strings made of plastic bags.

Man that silver guitar looks kickass.

Just a regular ol' Bâ™ clarinet.

My drumset. Been wanting to upgrade it but money's been pretty tight lately so I haven't gotten the chance. (...don't mind the stuffed animals)

I used to play violin as a kid but it's waaay to small for me now. Was never really my thing either.

None of them are the nicest instruments, but I usually don't stick with one long enough to get a better one anyway.

thanks reives. :}
thats my baby. by 'my baby', i actually mean the single most expensive thing in my entire household.

dadevster man thats some poor lighting on the clarinet. i remember i used to try to play the clarinet back in 5th grade. i hated it because i was a stupid kid. i could totally go for a clarinet now that im a seasoned musicfag tho!

violins always look so nice. no matter how cheap and poorly made it actually was, they always look like a million bucks. im guessing its one of those small-scale deals? you got some cool instruments, it sucks that youre not into it anymore. :\
