Shower, actually. My hair is getting more curly with time (which I really don't get) and I want it longish for Halloween, but I can't do anything with it when it's dry. Basically I need a haircut and after showers is the only time I like my hair.

i have super straight hair but i know a lot of mop-heads. dudes have an easier time taming curlfros by setting a defined part off to one side, and then very very lightly gelling the hair forward and across their forehead in a kind of fluffed up way.

my only problem is that the gel I use sucks pretty bad so

you can work with it, even shitty stuff; you use a small amount, rub it lightly across your palm, then rub your brush over your palm, and comb it into your hair twice, then style with your fingers. the key is to not get it gloopy or too topical.

dreads would be interesting but I probably wouldn't be very good at maintaining them. you really gotta take care of dreads right or they get gross.

It isn't actually too hard, unless you go with the synthetic perm

If you go for natural, you just have to wax it at least once a week. Lock and twist gel helps too.

All hair turns in to dreads if you do nothing with it for a year or two, but I wouldn't recommend going that route :x Just have it braided how you want it, wax it, and wait.

I've seen tons of white guys with dreads, there's a guy that gets on the bus every morning at my stop, his dreads are like halfway down his back and look fucking amazing, lol. Nice thick dreads, that's what you need.
