also all this Ren Fair stuff sounds cool but I don't think this city's ever had one. probably a lack of a decent-sized green field that isn't used for organized sports. cool costume all the same, Tind. there was sort of a tragic lack of badass tricorn hats before.

if we did have one I'd probably go with some victorian steampunk shit goin on and annoy everyone with my inaccurisms (inaccuracies and anachronisms rolled together into one easy-to-pronounce bite-size portion)

then when it was over I would be all "Victorian mawk out, bitches" and ride out on a motorcycle

Mawk> totally fun to be innacurate. The lifers (the guys that actually work/volunteer there full time) will mock you and it's hilarious. "Oy! PIRATE! You're 150 years too early!"

whenever i go to those there're always 1-3 of these random dudes who dress like pixies and fairies. like, literally, they look like tinkerbell with more glitter. then they run around with little velvet sacks of sparkly dust and throw it on people saying "i cast a fairy's spell on you!" or some stupid thing. one year one of the fairyguys followed me and my friend around for a while telling us about fairies. were we anywhere else we would've been creeped out but there it was just like... really uncomfortable.

i dress up for it sometimes but damn some people really go overboard w/ it.
on the bright side though it's a great place to get flame-roasted turkey legs and whole mutton joints.

I actually went in to a renaissance fair with headphones one. $50.00 headphones. In an attempt to make this roleplaying believable, they literally went up to me, said "What's that creature on your head?!", and attempted to rip them off my head and whip them at the ground. I put a stop to that.

I had the pleasure of attending a Renaissance Fair once. What was even more pleasurable was pointing out all of the historical inaccuracies. At one point - naturally - I started pointing out which *words* they were using in conversation which were wrong. :devil:

"Ye" = "The" people!
