I don't know of anywhere in the US where you could go and get a beer like that, just one of the many reasons I look forward to touring Europe.  I hope it was cold beer though, warm beer just doesn't do it for me.  Quite the lucky bastard, looks like you've toured some awesome places.

You may as well just buy it pint by pint so the bottom doesn't go warm.  Make sure you have an English pint, cos' handles are gay.

And not to mention the condensation would make the glass slippery, could you imagine the crime of dropping a pint of good beer? O.O  Besides, you simply drink the beer before it has a chance to get warm and the handle makes it so much easier to take hold of and slam that back.  Bigger gulps = more flavor and a faster better buzz.

Yeah, actually we took that last beer around 11:50PM. Now, we're both Canadian (eh?), so we're accustom to bars/pubs closing around 2-3AM right...but turns out breweries (which aren't exactly pubs or bars) close at midnight. We kinda had to chug that 1L down. And it wasn't our first. 'Twas a great evening though.

I've never seen a Guiness served in a handled glass.  (Yes I mean when In Ireland).  We should really start a topic about how a beer should be served.  In a  club I prefer bottled.  In a glass you'll end up with about 2/3 missing after walking across the dance floor.

Well we do have beer that's not Guiness you know, but yeah you're right Guiness isn't served in a glass with a handle, most beers are though.
I don't usually drink a lot of beer, I prefer Magners. But yeah in a club bottled is always better.

In a club absolutely and good call, a bottle is much better then wearing your $4 beer.  I actually had to go buy one because of all this talk about it. :D

Not really in Germany...in Austria. But close enough. We'd gone hiking that day, hence the mountains.

Nah, I live in Canada. That trip was a four months trip from last summer; went around Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy and Denmark. I wish I could've gone to Romania though, but eh; they don't accept train passes there.
