This is just a simple debate/discussion topic for the upcoming Pokemon Games. Just tell me how you feel about the topics.

Animals/Plants
You know Pokemon are based apun real animals or plants. If your some kind of Hyper geek this question will be easy. Which animals or plants do you think Nintendo hasn't based a Pokemon on? (Besides Panda (JSTREET))

Some pokemon are really stupid, ya know? I want to know your favorite one. Your most Favorite Pokemon.

Racial

Yeah... I know that Pokemon can't be racist due to new laws, but why is there not a single black person in the Entire Game Series? If I missed one please correct me. Yes I know some of those cute creatures are based on African Animals Like ChimChar and his evolutions and many of the monkey pokemon. All I really want to know is how you feel. Please Remember that this is pretty much an opinion thing. Due not make this conversation violent and don't make yourself capable of getting banned.

I liked Pokemon Red-Silver, and the first two Stadium games if that accounts for anything. Man, I remember when I was in 5th grade, I used to bring my gameboy to school all the time to battle with friends....good times....

same as vash. The Anime Sucks. The Games rock in my opinion. Maybe cause I like collecting and being the best.

Yeah, they actually have. They've gotten boring and mundane. I mean, wooo, new Pokemon, big friggin deal. Bring something new to the game, or don't bring anything at all.

About the 'why no other races' thing.. It's a japanese game. BAsed off on an anime. Black people almost don't even exist in the anime world.

Pokemon games have been getting better, for the most part. If I had a DS, I'd look forward to the new ones.

I agree. The first few games didn't have much of a story, but when i played sapphire, it really felt like an rpg for the first time. To me, Rayquaza was a secret boss rather than an optional pokemon. Also, i prefered team Magma/Aqua to the Rockets. Magma and Aqua almost killed everyone, rather than just stealing the odd pokeball.

Pokemon used to be pretty good, catching them, battling them, linking up and trouncing your friends, but then you grow up and friends stop playing... it's a sad trainer who must deal with "Bug Catcher Jimmy" because he has noone else (sobs)
I'm over it! Oh, well, back on topic, the game used to be pretty good, but with Ruby and Sapphire, they started putting more stock in looks than playing, I mean, Team Rocket were REAL villains, an outright Pokemafia, especially Giovanni, but then you look at Team Magma "all life springs from land, so we want there to be nothing but land" Yeah, and when you get thirsty, then what? The villains were idiots and the Pokemon designs were terrible, they didn't even port over the old worlds again, so you were stuck in Hoenn, the most poorly designed Pokemon continent yet. The designs also sucked, I mean, look at Gyarados, then look at, oh, I dunno, Spoink? They looked like they were made by three year olds! Nintendo oughta realize, the original glory of Pokemon was that they DIDN'T CATER TO SEVEN YEAR OLDS! Jeez, add some maturity back to the monster designs, get some real villains, maybe a little replayability? After you beat Rayquaza, you were done, 'nuff said. Hopefully they'll fix it next time around, but heed my advice: Mystery Dungeon is a big no on any RPG, or mature Pokemon fan,'s list. I know I speak for a minority, but Nintendo really should put more stock in these games, they used to rule the world, but now they're just a kid's commodity whose sole purpose is to be mocked by the same who once liked it. And has anyone watched the Anime? They've really dumbed it down, Team Rocket aren't even serious villains anymore, and Ash is actually kind of creepy now that he's, y'know, a teenager and still blabs on about friendship and acts like he's still 10, isn't it about time he passed the torch like they do in Digimon (it killed the show, but it beats seeing the show have Urkel's syndrome) maybe to the kid in the next game? Nintendo really has to get their heads out of their corporate asses and start doing some real rethinking, I mean, is Satoshi Tajiri even still working on this? The whole series is becoming a perversion of his entire concept of catching and trading monsters, becoming just another kiddie franchise.



Sorry, kind of long winded, but it's a touchy subject for me. Oh, and my favorite Pokemon? Eevee, of course. It mirrors life, you can go on to destroy (fire, Flareon) heal (water, Vaporeon) or maybe shock the world (shock, Jolteon, get it?) or just have a dark perspective (dark, Umbreon) or, well, okay, I can't think of a life-analogy for Espeon, but Eevee's still frickin' cool!

As for that whole racial thing, it might just be a lack of people with obvious Ethnic heritage in Japan and anime in general, or Nintendo's happy-go-lucky censors who keep everything out (see some of the NINTENDO Final Fantasy games, they cut out strip teases, swearing, innuendo, racial stereotypes, even drinking despite ESRB making most of the cuts optional, but for Pokemon, I'm sticking with my kiddie-franchise theory, I am actually working on a Pokemon-like concept of my own I'm going to use in the likely never-to-come C!tSG, but since it has Native American-like people and Africans, there's a good chance Nintendo'd never do anything like it, and likely because it'll be a pain to sprite ethnicity )

I absolutely agree with you one hundered percent.

Especially on the eevee thing.

I know where your coming from, but Pokemon was a Genious game, and Mystery Dungeon is very stupid and annoying. Pokemon Ranger was the best in the series, yet it could have added a little variety and made it a bit harder. I mean I beat it in about 3 days. But Really i just Want Pearl for the online Trading. You don't really HAVE to have friends to trade and battle. I also want it for the new pokemon: Darkrai and Aresis(spl). Also Regigigas.

My favorite has to Monferno or Mewtwo can't knocck the classics.

Those are the new pokemon. Monferno (English) is the Fire Starter for Pokemon Pearl and Daimond

Same for Regigigas. He's only obtainable through getting Regice, Regirock, and RegiSteel.

PS. Most of the names are still japanese though.

Yeah, the Fire Monkey types look pretty cool with the Chinese dynasty-inspired armor, but I'm sort of sceptical... how many of those are pre/post evolutions of ones that already exist? It'd be cool and all if they added an equal amount of originals to match, but otherwise it just seems sort of redundant, and PLEASE DON'T TELL ME THAT LEAF THING'S ANOTHER EEVEE FORM?! Great, now I gotta think my whole life's philosophy over again, damn. Oh well, in life, sometimes you just gotta do like a flower and grow around the problem- that's good, I might want to adopt that, on second thought, nah, but I'll think of something better.

Vaporeon - Get wet have some fun.
Leafia - Be like a Flower, Grow fast to escape your trails.
Glacia - Sometimes you just have to be like ice. Freeze your problems.
