POKéMON ELECTRIC YELLOW!

Alright, so I'm like a lot of the other guys out there... I'm making a pokémon game..... Yeah... WHY? PLEASE GOD WHY????? Believe it or not this one isn't of my own free will. This past March my older sister issued me a challenge. TO CREATE A POKéMON GAME THAT COVERED EVERY AREA, THAT INCLUDED EVERY POKéMON AND IN IT HER SON'S WOULDN'T NEED TO READ. Great Idea right? A POKéMON game that the kids could hear instead of reading. Yeah This one's gonna be big. I'm still projecting the size, but I'll probably end up transfering it to her computer via external HDD. So yeah... big one.... and for a while it got put on hold.... But i'm going back to it now, and frankly, I NEED HELP. The pokémon, all 493 originals are covered. 3 new ones are made, but.... I need more. I want a total of 104 more on top of it. I also need map makers for Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and The Orange Islands. I figure I'll do Kanto on my own. I'll also Need some scripters. Now I am using the pokemon starter pack, and B/c of certain pokemon in the game, that can't be released to the general public for use (the 3 extra I spoke of) I'd have to mod the game even more before I released it to the general public. But any help at this point would be appreciated.

For Spriters, i not only need the front and back images, but the mini sprite for the pokemon as well.

For the Scripters out there, I need a better Pokedex design.... the one in the starter kit isn't as good as it could be, and I know a ruby scripter out there has probably thought of doing this one.

What's in it for you?

I'd love to give you the game Unmodded, but ... well... we know it's gonna be huge.... and I'm not sure how much space it's gonna take on Megaupload. I'd love to add your name to the credits.

Yes, we know the rules. You should learn the rest of them if you want to quote them, don't pick and choose which bits to follow as it's convenient. You need a legitimate project thread to recruit with it, one that follows the project discusson rules. The rest of them.

Well I can't say I have a favorite. I'd love to say it's someone like Raichu or Celebi, but I don't use them, I tend to use the area starters and work my way up with those, usually making the other three some common ones i find along the first or second route fully evolved.

Grimer though? I suppose he's lovable to some, but wasn't the smell bad in the episodes he appeared? I would guess he smells worse then rotting garbage or cow manure. If the pokemon existed I guess I'd have a flying pokemon like fearow or Pidgeot to get me to where i was going instead of something like a grimer.

Now back to the project.... I've almost got the maps done upto Pewter city. The trade system is null and void at the moment, but won't really be needed as players will have every pokemon available in the game.

So let's take this to a statistical analysis:

Maps: 1% done
New Scripts: 0% done
Sprites: 75% done
voice overs: 1% done
Music: 3% done

I know i'm getting there, but progress is slow. But at the end this'll all be worth it... I suppose.

Do you mean userbars? Sites like userbarmaker.com allow you to do that.

I wouldn't quite suggest keeping this as a strict basis of your progress. It's hard for us to judge the progress of your project with just percentages. Think of it like this: If you had two maps and had one done, you would technically have 50% of your maps completed. But if you had ten thousand maps and had five thousand done, you'd still have 50% completed. It's too vague and isn't really promoted here. Instead, things like To-Do Lists are great not only for you to keep track of your progress but for us to know what you have done and what you still have left.

Not trying to be too nitpicky here, but the character sets for the Pokemon you have don't fit in with the rest of the game. The Pikachu in the last screenshot has a really subdued outline, in contrast with the other sprites. This is a similar issue in the second and third screenshots. The Bulbasaur seems out of place. Also, you should probably fill the space outside the town with trees or something so it doesn't look like a giant black void.
