Pocket People - A Mini Project (Name Varying) - DEMO ADDED V 0.1!

Yeah, don't do that so early into the developement. The "feel" I got for the game was really boring because of the lack of content! Seriously, just develop the game A LOT more before you even think of releasing it,having so many demos(0.15, 0.2 like you said) just feels like downloading a devlog, which is NOT what I play a game for! So work it until you feel you have something PLAYABLE(~40 mins in my opinion) and then release!

Just reading this I could feel you were serious. You could have your own screamo band with that. Anyway, the 0.15, 0.25, etc, would be Glitch Fixes and Mapping Improvements. I release Demo's so I could get feedback, so I don't make a 40 minute game, that people play, but I have to go back and redo everything. See what I'm saying?
 
If you insist on doing so, release the minor fixes as patches, and make sure these minor fixes are substantial(not just one or two). When adding A LOT of content I suggest you name the game up in intervals of .5(like .5 to 1.0 would be a lot added, 1.5 - 1.6 would be a minor fix etc etc.)
 
well 1.0 = Finish game, does it not?
I might try that, in the future. However Its not Pocket People 2, Were still on Pocket People 1....

Well it was just an example for the most part, I don't tend to think of VERSION HISTORY as SEQUEL(i.e pocket people v2.0 != pocket people 2).

Also, no problem. Just never do ^.^ or anything otaku-like again and we'll be fine :D

And ^.^ Is my favorite face :( Dang it.

Anyways I might do the 2.0 stuff :\ But will see what happens. I'm taking a momentary break from working, cuz I workedo n it like 2 days straight. :)
 
This looks boring, the concept sounds nice but in execution is crap. You can't have fun in a game that's too open ended, you just open it and feel like what do I do now, unless you have it emulating real life really well with endless events happening and a variety of real life things to do and the feeling that you're really living then it's boring.

Also if your choices have no weight to them then it detracts from any reality in the game, also I've never mined or done fishing in all my 18 years alive so what makes you think that anyone would want to do it in an open ended game in modern times!? The fuck? At least use modern tilesets and make a city, a sim game set in 1784 would be boring as hell to me, what's there to do? Churn butter and play piano?

And you really don't need to copyright your work, it's not like anyone's going to steal a project in such a linked up community. If they did it's not like there's much concept to steal either way.

If you have never fished in your life, then you have a
deprived childhood. You should try it.
 
If you actually got off your ass and wanted to put some effort into this then you'd find a modern tileset yourself, or at least edit the current tilesets so they work as modern. The tilesets your using now look like 1784.

What 13 - 18 year old in this day and age takes it upon themselves to start fishing or mining? You're going to need much more thrilling things to do if you want to make this a decent sim game.
 
After playing the demo/
I was dismayed.
Glad to see you changed the beach.
But you still have ALOT of mapping errors.
Also, if this is modern day - why is there guys in armour saying they just had a battle? o-o

The fishing didn't even work for me. And in this demo, atleast start us off with ome money =/ $100 gets you nothing
