.png to .tst

Super nub question. Im just a beginner. I see that yall have awseme tilesets but I just can seem to get them into a .tst. How do you convert .png to .tst?

You mean an RPG Toolkit File?

If the tileset contains any RMXP RTP or RTP edits, it is illegal to use it in any other program except RMXP. So unless you're talking about 100% original work (which there is very little of), we can't help you.

My bad, I did not know the diffence. I thought tilesets were tilesets. Thanx though. I will probally try out this game making program as well to see how they compair. Iv only been doin this for about a week.

p.s. Some of the tiles I was goin to use were ones I ripped off of sprite sheets ( star wars, mortal kombat, ect.... ). I was goin to use yalls tiles but if I not suppost to then thats cool. So do toolkit users and RMXP users not like each other or somthing? I dont know I was just asking (like skateboarders and rolerbladers)

That's not true. It's just the fact that Enterbrain (the company that created RPG Maker Xp) stated that it's illegal to use their graphics for any other use other than RPG Maker XP.

Yeah it's worth $60, but it's worth it. It's a VERY powerful program.

I check out RMXP and I desided to go with it. I liked the RPG Toolkit (A. it was free, B. it was eazy to understand) I dont mind paying $60, cuz I see making at least one game that is mine worth $60. I see that RMXP has a bigger fan base then Toolkit and more resources (tilesets are kickin ass around the corner). I havent got into the scripting yet, so I dont know how that is goin to go down, I have just been playing with the editors and tiles. And Im hoping the programin will be very open. One thing I saw about toolkit's RPGCode was that you can make alot of extra stuff (fishing, casio, jukebox, picking plants, searching bookcases, playing piano). Can RMXP make codes (scripts) like this? It would be awseme to be able to walk up to a piano and start playing it for no reason. Can wait to get to know some of you and the program so I can post on the forums with out looking like a dumb ass. Peace.....
