Playtest problems for RMXP

Hi I just got RPGXP recently and Im using a Vista laptop. Everything worked fine until I tried to play test my game, once I click it it just enters no response mode instantly. How do I stop this from happening,, plz help!!

What do you mean by "No response mode"? Does your computer freeze? Does the game start and then get locked into an endless loop in which you can't do anything?

No its not exactly like that. Everytime I open test play the window always freezes before I can do anything and the only way I can close it is by only using Task Manager.

Does it work if you run Game.exe from the project directory? (I.e. not test play)
