tbh a SET DATE doesn't really matter. just take it as SOMETIME WITHIN THE NEXT FEW DAYS THERE WILL BE A BIT OF DOWNTIME FOR LIKE AN HOUR OR MAYBE MORE JUST CHILLAX IN IRC IN THE MEANTIME or something. nothing's breaking during the move, and nothing that's broken right now is going to be magically fixed. it's more OH GOD RMXP IS DOWN WAIT NVM ITS UP than anything.

downtime will be like 6 hours tops. probably a lot less - like 3 or 4. you could probably get UP TO THE MINUTE COVERAGE or something in #rmxp on the day of the move. nothing's gonna break. (we hope.)

WE'RE not moving the boxes. awknet tech staff is. also i like to think of it as the road is cordoned off and there is this parade of nerds walking down the road from building a to building b, all keeping in step and carrying like three rackmounts each with big band playing in the background. the music swells and they all do a half turn with a heel kick, then turn back around and continue. there's no cars in that image~

move is scheduled for TOMORROW NIGHT, pacific daylight time (no set time, just sometime in that time frame). downtime should be four hours tops. it's not peak activity time for rmxp so it shouldn't be too bad.

Things were unavailable a bit longer for people in some areas. Level3 and Cogent were not routing packets to the new network, so some people were experience problems (or poor performance) accessing websites on Falcon (like this one). The issue with Level3 is now resolved, we're not sure about Cogent yet.
