i dont know if i liked sweeney todd, i mostly think the pacing was incredibly off. the story and acting was there but the writing was hurried.
i have never seen any of the pirates movies outside of the porn.
oh legend of sleepy hollow was good
and edward scissorhands

I still haven't seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but there's no way he can top Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka.

Gilbert Grape was good and I love Edward Scissorhands.

I liked the first pirate's movie, but I agree, the 2nd and 3rd were terrible. Everyone sort of became stagnant and old really fast.

He was okay in chocolat but he was really in a role that could of been played by 1/4th the actors out there I think.

I found him to be a little bit "too in your face" for Willy Wonka. His acting was just, odd. I dont think he fit the Willy Wonka, more like the creepy child molester role.

Yeah that's probably true. I still liked Chocolat as a film tho.

Ya, Chocolat as a film I thought was good. I loved the fact that it wasn't really deep in a sense and sort of had a whimsical feel to it. Its one of those movies that you watch at 11 pm with a bag a popcorn and almost are guaranteed a smile.

Just about everything :x

The slapstick humour was too slapstick (the whole scene where he's running on the wheel for example). The storyline seemed like it solely existed to set up a third film.

And it dragged on forever. We were sitting there after a couple of hours thinking *please end please end please end*, and then they killed Jack and we were thinking leave him dead leave him dead please end and then they said he's not dead, let's go after him and we were thinking oh god please leave that till the next film we WANT TO LEAVE

See, I really REALLY love the Pirates films, my favourite films ever to be honest with you, and I don't care what anyone says...

This new one, although it's the fourth film, I heard they're going for a new trilogy, y'know, new characters etc. with just Jack remaining, atleast that's what I read anyway, but either way I'll be watching this at the cinema AND buying it on bluray.

Oh god, yeah.

See, I didn't realize it was going to be split into two pieces, because I'm just not a fan, so when they started saying... the last bits... I was getting ready to walk out anyway. It was so long, so dull, and most of the opening contained too much self-referencing - in particular the sort of self-referencing sequel-ly stuff that should have been killed off by the 80s.

Like I've already said in my last post, lol... as long as I love the films, I don't care what anyone else thinks, since I still get to enjoy them regardless, lol.
