Photoshop, How do I brighten all layers?

I currently have some free time since World:Aere is still at planning mode.

I figured that I could just tinker with Photoshop...
then this came up *flash*, my current avatar (with help from ImageReady)

I noticed that its too dark... but i dunno how to brighten all the layers in Photoshop/ImageReady
How do I do it? ( I don't want to manually de-opaque my layers since its a bit too many... O_o )

Create a new layer above all the rest. Shift-F5 and fill it with White. Set this layer's blending property to overlay and tone down the opacity till you get the desired result. I think that should do it.

Okay, my avatar was taken down it was too big...

whats the max size anyway?
Ohh yea, is there anyway to compress my GIF files even more...?

(120kb in wmv, 1-2mb in gif? wth?)

There's not a fixed max size, but anything over a meg is definitely too large.

Ohh yeah, I got it to be extra compressed in ImageReady, removed last word frames.. and whatever....

anyway this topic is solved for me. ok i'll keep 1 mb in mind
