Photoshop CS5 Warp tool

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BShE_jS8jLE

This is a video that shows some of the features in Photoshop CS5. Pretty cool stuff with the paint brushes and all, although it is not entirely new. Now fast forward to 2:30 or something. A wrap tool feature. I'm not sure exactly how this one works, but as you can see, the guy takes a photo, sets some armature or something, and can freely move the guy's arms into a new position. Maybe not any position (due to 3d constrains), but still, it's quite unprecedented to do that with actual real people's images (at least, I've never seen this before).

So what do you think? Yet another interesting feature or the dawn of a new age of controversial photo manipulation?

bout time they do something other than release a whole new suite with one new bugfix and one new filter for crying out loud!!!!

the first part shows stuff that Painter X could already do in a way. but it will be cool that i won't have to switch between the two programs. but they should really take a cue from painter and paint shop pro and add a palette blender.

the automesh tool though----wow that's something really special. photoshop could always do warp mesh but it was p much unusable in most applications because it would stretch and distort the image too much.

actually looking forward to the new adobe gen now :O

I've never had photoshop but after using it at Uni I dunno how I ever live(d) without it. Can't afford the bastard program though - is the cheaper one (the £40 box) really really that scaled down? Will it have things like this at least?

<+Tomas>
<+Tomas> i accidentaly installed that once
<+Tomas> and
<+Tomas> in my opinion
<+Tomas> it lacks all the good stuff
<+Tomas> i don't know what tools you primarily use in photoshop
<+Tomas> but it seemed to miss all the ones i was using
<+Tomas> though it looks like there have been some improvements
<+Tomas> it's still REALLY REALLY stripped down though
