Pathfinding and Custom Title Compatibility

Hey,
I'm having a bit of a problem with two scripts, one being the Pathfinding v2beta (scroll down and find this spoiler) and the other, a title screen edit that skips the title and goes to the first map, found below.

Code:
#==============================================================================
# ** Scene_Title
#------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#  This class performs title screen processing.
#  It will skip the regular title screen and go to the first map.
#==============================================================================

class Scene_Title
  #--------------------------------------------------------------------------
  # * Main Processing
  #--------------------------------------------------------------------------
  def main
    # If battle test
    if $BTEST
      battle_test
      return
    end
    # Load database
    $data_actors        = load_data("Data/Actors.rxdata")
    $data_classes       = load_data("Data/Classes.rxdata")

    $game_system        = Game_System.new
    $game_switches      = Game_Switches.new

    $game_troop         = Game_Troop.new
    $game_map           = Game_Map.new
    $game_player        = Game_Player.new
    # Set up party for battle test
    $game_party.setup_battle_test_members
    # Set troop ID, can escape flag, and battleback
    $game_temp.battle_troop_id = $data_system.test_troop_id
    $game_temp.battle_can_escape = true
    $game_map.battleback_name = $data_system.battleback_name
    # Play battle start SE
    $game_system.se_play($data_system.battle_start_se)
    # Play battle BGM
    $game_system.bgm_play($game_system.battle_bgm)
    # Switch to battle screen
    $scene = Scene_Battle.new
  end
end

The problem is, when I play the game it crashes with a message undefined method `update' for class `Scene_Title'.
The line it referred was in the Pathfinding script, the second line (alias) here:
Code:
class Scene_Title
  alias pf_scene_title_update update
  def update
    #set the pathfinding class as a callable class
    $path_finding = Path_Finding.new
    pf_scene_title_update
  end
end

It'd be great if someone could identify and fix the problem. Thanks!

You probably replaced the old default code of Scene_Title with the one you posted here yes? That's why you have an error about a non existent update method. I wonder why he used the update method to instantiate a Path_Finding object. You could try to alias main instead.

Code:
class Scene_Title
  alias pf_scene_title_main main
  def main
    #set the pathfinding class as a callable class
    $path_finding = Path_Finding.new
    pf_scene_title_main
  end
end

Good luck with it Regi! :thumb:
