Panorama

Panorama is like a picture behind the tileset. On a map it'll show up where there arn't any tiles.
Let's say you create a new map. Build a Tower but leave leave blank tiles around it. When there isn't a panorama, those tiles will appear black in game.
To apply a panorama you go the tileset tab in the database and select a panorama for whatever tileset you are using on that map. They are usually sky or landscapes.
If you're using rmxp you won't see the panorama unless you are running the game.

Most people use it in maps with cliffs, mountains, tall buildings ect...

Also, there are Back Grounds that are just like Panorama's, but are used for Battles. If your useing the Defualt Battle system, the RPG style of fighting the program comes with, then you can set a Back Ground behind the fighters and can always be edited for each battle or for each place. you need to go to the Monster Group Tab in your Data Base and then click on Change Battle Back ground. You can Edit or download more Back Grounds and Panorama's from alot of places. This site has some, you just have to look. You could also make your own, but I suggest not to, unless you know what your doing and you know what you want. Having the right tools help to, I use Gimp. But Photshop and others work too. I hope I helped and didn't give too much (unwanted) info...
