Things are looking good, but I think that your main's character's outfit is too saturated to fit in namely the black is too black.

Well, I had intended for Kayou to look somewhat out-of-place, the same way a goth girl in a miniskirt should look out of place in a bright and sunny village. Though I think your monitor may play a role in that... her outfit isn't black, it's dark purple.

According to Adobe Photoshop, the darkest pixel on her dress is 02020C, which isn't black, but very dark and worse, very saturated.

How is this project coming along? It's been a while since the last update. I was a big fan of the Akasha Seal series, and I'm curious to see how this project will turn out since it will be playable.
