I'm estimating the release of the Sentinels: Exile demo. Currently, all the content is done, but the testing is not. A friend and I am testing the game, although my friend hasn't downloaded yet. Once that's over, the demo will be released. I'm aiming for June 12, roughly next week. Of course, the release date might be pushed back further...

but it's most likely around June 12. Meanwhile, criticize on everything I have here so I can make last-minute changes!

Finally, the Sentinels: Exile demo has been released. I do expect numerous errors, though, and so should you. Some of these errors might make the game unplayable.

On a happier note, the download is pending while I am typing this and I hope it gets approved tomorrow on June 12 like I promised. If there are any errors or comments, comment here or PM me or something like that. Let's say 'contact me'. Once again, I believe there might be some conspicious errors that I or my tester might've not picken up. I hope I got all the necessary files for the non-RTP one, though. Missing files counts as an error. But you can download once it's out, and happy playing!

C'mon, some people need to comment before I quad-post.

DEMO v1.1
After some testing of my own, I found a mis-functioning script that prevented the player from moving on.

Fixes:
  • Fixed a bug with the boat and the bridges
  • Had one of the sidequests add more points to the final score at the end of the prologue
  • Upcoming in v1.2: Info teller
 
I was going to try your demo, but I could read any of the text. Did you forget to include the font with your game? I couldn't find anything dealing with that little problem... O.oa

Sorry I couldn't play for very long... :(
 
So, after people have commented on my screenshots about mapping errors or bad screen takes (that is, on rpgmaker.net), I've changed them in the game, but I never had the time to update all the screens until today. So everything, except Battle Scene, has been updated.
Save Menu and Snow Forest have a different tint.
There's a brand new Title Screen.
Mountain was taken at another location to make it seem like it was a mountain, not a forest.
Opening Scene was barely changed, houses a teeny bit more decorated.

...and that's all. I... think.
 
ARGHH WHY DO I KEEP MAKING ALL THIS RETARDED MISTAKES WITH THE FONT.

Fixes:
  • NOW CHANGED THE FONT TO CALIBRI(YOU SHOULD HAVE IT ON YOUR SYSTEM, IF NOT, TOO BAD. V1.1B TIME).
ALSO YOU CAN MOVE YOUR SAVE FILES FROM THE OLD VERSION TO THE NEW ONE TO KEEP YOUR SAVES. WILL NOT WORK WHEN THERE ARE STAT CHANGES WITH CHARACTERS OR ENEMIES

Oh, and does anyone know a way to patch encrypted RMVX games? Because these fixes are frequent and I'm sure people are not happy needing to download 23.something MB
 
I downloaded your game and played until I got Floyd's Sword, because after that I got lost. Don't worry, as I get lost very easily. ^_^;;

I have encountered some errors, though concerning maps. Sorry if they're old or have been fixed already. :(

The circle means the lamp head is missing, while the X means I couldn't get to the bridge because I couldn't go under the lamp. I dunno if this is your fault or VX, but I had some feeling I had to get there to continue the game. :/

For Floyd's house, there is no left wall. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but I shall let you know just in case.

That bridge crossing was optional, and I guess I have some fixing to do. :\

Well after Floyd's sword, you go back downstairs and go out the blue door.
 
I realized how cheesy “Sentinels: Exile” sounded, so I decided to change it. Also, I found a tutorial on a FF title -style, so I changed the title screen too. There will be a v1.3 with the name change, but it will take a bit to rename everything in Sentinels: Exile history. Now it’s “Reign of Rivalry” which sounds a little better.

I’d also like to add that in a few weeks, I’ll be working on this project full steam as summer is in two days for me. My goal is to finish Chapters 2 and 3, that is, if I don’t get Starcraft 2. ok bai

Yup, many changes are due to come to OoS. Apparently, it’s in a somewhat not-good state right now. I’ve gotten a bit tired of working with the tilesets it has. But I’m gonna finish it alright, but I’m cutting the game length. By a lot. Which means I could be finished this year or early 2011. To add on to that, There will be no “Sententia Saga”, because OoS is becoming a stand-alone game.

BTW, if you're confused about Sententia Saga, visit the site... it was supposed to be the name of the series.

i like this but i wish you would not use so much of the coomen tiles. maybe make some original sprites. that would be cool. i am going to download this after my meal, since its pretty late over here.
 
Sorry to disappoint you and all, but the end is terrible. I couldn't focus on this project nor have any interest. I couldn't even think of an ending, but if you guys still want this, and I post the utterly horrible complete version.

I am working on a new project, since I got 'lost' in the production on this game. I didn't know what to do next... so I just randomly slapped on an ending...
