ORGy AWARDS: Winners 2010

Being a semi-retired veteran 'round here, I do have to agree that this ORGy seemed too short to be sweet. But, lookin' back at it, the turn out was still rather pleasurable! Either way, this was an awesome ORGy, just warn us next time before we get all hot and sticky! I mean, especially since its been awhile for me... *ahem*

Congrats to the winners, glad Dargor caught up. I thought I was gonna win for a minute but runner up is pretty good as I haven't been active much this year. He's a good chap, always had respect for his push to make VX more awesome, not to mention FF6 SDK is a rather deticated work to go keep up

I do miss Venetia but Zeriab had a big helping in educating this community, including me. He's been here since the dawn so its time he takes a new path of real life adventures, good luck dude! :thumb:

Didn't keep up with the projects this year, but I remember Last Man's Stand being full of potential and looking like it would one day be bad ass sometime last year, congrats!

I have to personally thank Peri and Tomas for their 1-on-1 with me, trying to do pixeling and music (appologies for not submitting anything in music analysis btw). On the other hand, I've been working hard with a real band, maybe we'll get something tangible recorded straight to mp3 for ya one day and I'll post it for everybody ;)

Anyways, I'm done giving shot outs, congrats to everybody nominated and the ones who won! An awesome turn out of events, hopefully I'll be able to keep up with them this year. Kinda forgot how much I missed this place 'til I checked the polls out :fap:

PS; If you can keep the board handy with not only the winners, but the nominees, it would be useful to check out in the future. There is alot of awesome action I missed

ROCK ON MOTHERFUCKERS!

They're not over yet ;)

I have some secret plans but tbh I didn't organise this very well this year -- sorry.

They have actually gone on longer than last year though; just last year had more rounds. After the nominations came through it seemed having two rounds would be a bit silly this time around, because although more voted I think, less different nominations came in for a lot of them.

They aren't over though. ;)

I think Last Man's Stand and Sailerius won because both have a large following -- which isn't a bad thing and is a good reason for winning IMO.

I'm annoyed Vengeance didn't win Vaporware, would have been nice to get something out of three years of constant work to no end, but hey, it was never released properly so I can't complain.

I don't want to give too much away but in the coming months (or weeks, or whenever it's decided) the bORGys will be taking place. Watch this space.

Congratulations you lucky people :D
It was a close battle in many categories, too, so second-up isn't bad at all..
except como winning in a landslide and deserving it :)

haha what, I won something. And a nomination too, yay.
Thanks to anyone who voted for me, and congrats to all the winners ~( ' 3')~

Ah man, my Mario game (Mario RPG: Seven Sages) was up by two for GOTY last time I checked yesterday. Then it ended up losing by 2. Oh well, glad people liked our game and thanks to those who voted.

Congrats also to Vacant Sky. I searched for it on youtube and it looks great.

Btw, if anyone liked our Mario game, a much better one is in the making. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9ArssNYo74

@como: I agree that LMS has rather a large fan base, not just on this site. I guess that does give it an advantage.
@Firgof Umbra: I am humbled :) Thank you. (You still thrashed me in developer of the year though lol, so gratz for coming second)

I still can't figure out why I was nominated for most helpful member, much less why I made it to third place, beating people like Bluescope, who deserve it far more than I do.

Anyway, congrats to all the winners, and here's to hoping for another productive year to lead to another good showing for next year's .ORGy Awards!

Congrats to all the nominees and the winners!

To be honest I wans't even expecting a nomination since I've been a lot less active since Early 2009.
I'd like to congratulate all the other nominees for Scripter of the Year. Even if I know a lot less Fustel and Atoa than Kain and Seph, I've seen your work and you guys are really doing great. Keep up the good work!

And obviously, Seph and Kain both deserve to win too, you guys are really great scripters and a great source of inspiration too! :)

On a final note, thanks to all of you who voted for me, I guess it proves that I've not totally disappeared in the people's mind. :)

N.B. I'd like to see my FF6 SDK nominated in some categories next year! When I saw the Best Vaporware I was sure it was to be in this category. :D

Take care!
-Dargor
