Opening Scene BGM

Well I just finished writing this one. This is the BGM that plays during the intro scene in my friend's game.  Though its not MIDI this time ^_^ which is a step away from my usual, but I think it turned out alright.  Tell me what you think.

Intro Scene

Doesn't sound bad, per se, but there was no reall change in volume (I feel there should be something of a cresendo when multiple instruments kick in to give it force), and there's no real melody or hook.

The reason why games like Dragon Warrior have very powerful intro themes is because they have a clear-cut, easy to remember melody. This piece lacks that.

Its very quiet, but I like it alot. What did you record it with?

It could you some dynamics like Grooveman said but its good.

Yeah, it really is lacking dynamics but I'm not quite sure how to add dynamics with FL, if you even can do such a thing.  I suppose I could've exported each track as a separate mp3 and then added the dynamics in Cubase or something...or well I could just pay to get Finale, right?  Do the dynamic tools in there allow you to manipulate soundfonts?

@Grooveman.exe -
Yes, I completely agree with you on the importance of melody in games, especially RPGs...but this was a friend's request and I just went with what he said he wanted.

Does that site have viruses or spyware? I kept getting popups and hearing the "install completed" sound over and over again when I tried to hear your song.

The quality is good, as expected. However there's no melody to get the player pumped up for the opening...all this baby needs is a good melody :eek:

Aye, I would agree with the slightly dull for title theme comment. However, this seems like quite an awesome BGM for a castle dungeon or something! c: Great atmosphere.
