Online videogame art

I've been working on some art for an online MMOCC, comissioned.

AS such, here it is, disgracefully watermarked as per owner's request.

Everything in the image (especially the japanese text) was pixelled by hand. No special tools.

Any suggestions on how I can improve?

I was going to say the lighting was strange but then I noticed it was just a watermark.

You've got me blown out of the water, I see no real flaws with it.

Got some rather nitpicky crits and advice. Being from an only-beginner pixeler's perspective, feel free to treat 'em how you like.

The bed covers look extremely tight and unslept in for years; not sure who lives in the house but I'd expect a few more creases. The diagonal right part of the desk with the lamp has nicely shaded wood, but the direction of the lines seem off to me. Finally, the top Japanese character seems to face the camera rather than at an isometric angle; if only you angled it a tiny degree more to the left?

Otherwise, though, looks grand.

The cover flap on the bed also has a really weird outline. It almost looks like a mistake. Maybe lighten the tone on the outline?

The cover flap on the bed could be a bit bigger, and the bed frame at the head and foot of the bed looks pretty plain, even compared to the rest of the furniture. You could try adding some ornamentation to it.

I have a feeling that any real person playing your game wouldn't pay so much attention to certain detail. You blew me out of the water too. Also these graphics kind of remind me of Habbo hotel. Since your saying it's an online video game I guess that's what it would be like right?

The TV is in a weird posistion, It's right side is facing the bed, and it's left side is facing the couch, but the screen is facing the doorway, from a realistic point of view whos watching the tv?
