Oblivion Online (yes, its what you think it is)

Well, everyone wanted it, and now someones finally done it.

Heres the link to the files

And the Documentation for it (.pdf's)

My friend and I discussed how to do this a while back, I remember reading about how they did it for GTA, and though, well, the same basic principle *should* work in morrowind or oblivion, and I guess, it does ^_^

I haven't played it myself yet, at college now, gotta wait till I go home at the weekend. LAN oblivion with my brother could be fun!

There are a few programs that allow you to LAN Morrowind and Oblivion. I had one about a year ago for Morrowind, and although I haven't tried it out, I found one for Oblivion that uses TCP/IP settings. That could always be fun... probably laggy as hell, but still...

I'd like to try it out sometime.

I may play it with my friends. :D
Oblivion would be a lot better if online, if done properly, for me.
Also, there may be an elder scrolls MMO coming out. Heard this at another forum.

Just a note, no Elderscrolls will ever be online (without mods).
As said by bethesda, it would make the game too easy and allowing people to give items to friends.
They would have to put level caps on items and armour, and that's not what Elderscrolls is about.

I personally would love it, but not Elderscrolls, maybe like WoW (obviously not WoW) but something along those lines, with Oblivion graphics.

Elderscrolls 5 won't be online either, but apparently it's in progress...

Why should there be level caps? If the game had a co-op multiplayer mode, the saves would only be loaded with the players that originaly started it (like Warcraft 3 saves). I don't think it would be so hard, and the game sales would break records for years. Bethesda is beeing dumb, in my opinion...
