NPC moves on its own.

So im making the intro cut scenes to my game and I've run into a problem.  In my third scene i have two npcs talking and moving around.  They both follow my routes and text prompts and all that jazz but when it gets to the end of the event one of the npcs always moves to the left side of the screen.  I did not program that to happen and i can't figure out what went wrong.  Has anyone encountered this? and if so how do i fix it?

If your event is an autorun event and it starts with that character moving left then its just running through your event again. A way I usually prevent this from happening is just putting an erase event command at the end of my autoruns.

Or use self-switches, because if you leave the map and come back, it'll happen over again.

Just turn on "Self-Switch A", create a new Event Page, leave it blank, and check "Conditions: Self-Switch A == On."

did you have a game pad plugged in that maybe had a shoe or a dirty pair of pants holding down a directional key, this may have happened to me once, and i may have been quite baffled as to why my character was stuck moving...
