Nox Intra Lux : Rise of the Mage-King

Story:
Two years ago in the kingdom of LesFreidi there was a very powerful king; who in fact was the most powerful of all three kings in the land. All wasn’t peaceful though; war had broken out. Not between the more inferior and passive kingdom of Diloria, but against the martial Kingdom of KeiHao. Many of the people of LesFreidi felt that the KeiHao war was needless, but the king felt they must be stopped before they initiatively waged war on the Freidians. Unfortunately, the war was lost millions died. After this loss months passed, and the Kingdom grew progressively worse. There were Anarchists, angry mothers and children for their lost fathers, and people who opposed the kings rule completely. Eventually there was a small, but powerful army formed by one of the sons of the men sent to war with the second Kingdom KeiHao. He formed an alliance with the Luxian church and that had much power within itself with the clerics, Knights, preists, and the newly formed PALADUN (Powerful Alliance of Light Against Demons and Unjust Nations) unit. The King thought he would have no problem defeating this fodder, but the shock came to him when many of his men turned on him. He, his son, and His best Friend Doron managed to escape through a hidden network of sewers leading outside of the castle grounds. Just as they had escaped through the final hidden door they ran into the High Priest Vandir. He had no intention of letting the get away, so he summoned “holy” beings to defeat them. The mage king had to attack the High Priest directly in order to divert attention from his son and Fason to him. Eleven years have passed since the war…
The kings son Kail is 17 years old now he has lived amongst the barbaric tribe of the Fheeba. He does know of how HIS kingdom was stolen from him, he has inherited what he could of his father’s books (he has double his fathers magix potential, and is also very skilled with a bow since living with the barbarians and having to hunt.
He is ready to take back his kingdom…
Characters:
Kail Azrath:
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 152 lbs
Weapon(s) of choice: Bow, Wand
Job: Mage
Fighting Style: Since Kail is a mage he is best kept off the front lines (especially with his bow), although he does have a decent vitality level. Later in the game though Kail cna begin to use wands, which have different elemental affinities, and can inflict status ailments. Though he does lack in AoE spells Kail still has a high damage output, and is very effective against bosses.
Details:
He has a plan to retake his kingdom from the unknown hero and the High Priest Vandir, and he has a
plan that just might work. He will Stop at nothing to reclaim his fathers lost throne, and pride.

Elias Talyzar:
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 149 lbs
Weapon(s) of choice: Hand Claws, Bow
Job: Assassin
Fighting Style: Elias has a very high movement range, some long range attacks, and a few buffs.
His ability to make illusions of himself and poison enemies make him very effective in battle, though he
is somewhat lacking in speed compared to a ninja.
Details:
The Leader of the Archery and discreet war unit in LesFreidi he is more than capable protecting
the kings son and preparing him for his grand destiny.

Da-Lei:
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 122 lbs
Weapon(s) of choice: Magical orbs, Magical Staffs
Job: Shaman
Fighting Style: Being a shaman Da-Lei can call upon the rage of the elements, issue curses, and
bestow some blessings. Though very difficult to obtain after the first one; magical orbs are the best
for her since they allow for very strategic attacking, and raise magic. Da-Lei also is somewhat lacking in AP
so her spells should be casted wisely. Da-Lei is not very good when it comes to healing however, so don't use
her for that unless you must since her repotiore of healing spells is limited.
Details:
Shaman girl from the barbarian island of Yawe. Her interest is piqued when she hears of the
new arrival of the “savior” in the nearby village, but there is nothing she can do to meet him, but she
gets her chance eleven years later…

Loraine Chalier:
Height:6'(w/o armor) 6'2" with armor
Weight: 166 lbs
Weapon(s) of choice: Longswords, Axes, Shields
Job: Knight
Fighting Style: Coupled with her decent move range, high defense, and high HP; Loraine is definitely a tank. She is one of he only characters who can "Defend". She has a lot of self buffs, and is good at cutting foe's AP.
Details:
A Self Disciplined and Seasoned knight from the city of devine; the first stop on Kail's travels. She believes in fighting for justice and virtue, although she is the only woman knighted at the time and in Devine women don't
have these rights...

Richard Chalier:
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 197 lbs
Weapon(s) of choice: Swords, Katanas, Greatswords
Job: Mercenary
Fighting Style: Overall Richard has the highest attack in the game, but he can't survive in battle alone. His auxillary use is to bait in ranged attackers, and stun melee characters.
Details:
The Headstrong and reckless son of Lorain Chalier. Raised and trained to be a knight;
you wouldn't think Richard Chalier would be the exact opposite of what was intended. Tired of the moral constraints put on him in Knighthood Richard left to become a Mercenary.

Renea Chalier:
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 119lbs
Weapon(s) of choice: Whip
Job: Trickster
Fighting Style: Renea can act as an attacker, or she can debuff, steal, and cause chaos among the enemy. It does take a little planning to attack with her since the whip doesn't hit directly in front.
Details:
Though Renea does have an innocent facade, deep down she is scheming
trickster who will go to any lengths to make some quick gold. Most would call her a jack of all trades and others would simply call her a trickster. She does have a few beneficial skills though in clergy arts since she fools her mom into thinking thats what she is always doing.

Ernest:
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 201lbs
Weapon(s) of choice: Flail
Job: Jester
Fighting Style: Although Earnest has an average attack power; his flails more than compensate. He still is very slow until later levels when he gets his skill "Sadistic". But mainly he's a damage dealer and can buff allies.
Details:
An insane Ex-Jester, Ernest has a very troubled past traceing all the way back to Kail's childhood. His "demonic folly" was banned from the castle, and he was forced to do things that he doesn't like to talk much about. After finally escaping the castle he journied out across the continents in order to
find Kail.

Vlad Lancraft
Height: 6'
Weight: 159lbs
Weapon(s) of choice: Knife & Tome
Job: Sorcerer
Fighting Style: Vlad is a character that is good at inflicting mental and dark damage to enemies from afar. His downside is all his spells have a fairly long casting time and high AP cost.
Details:
A powerful sorceror of the arcane arts who has a skeletal face due to a spell going wrong. He is rumored to have been very handsome before the accident.

Zix:
Height: est. 6'0
Weight: ???
Weapon(s) of choice: Scythe
Job: High Lich
Fighting Style: Zix fights using her high movement range coupled with her different elemental scythe skills. One wouldn't consider her a tank since her defense leaves much to be desired. Against Dark enemies however, Zix is an indisposable ally.
Details:
A demonic spirit bound to Vlad. Zix is to Kill Vlad as soon as he ceases sending souls to
Hell. After being with Vlad for such a long time she and Vlad have developed an almost
intimate relationship.

Some planned features include:
- Gubid Tactical battle system
- 18 fleshed out characters each with their own quests and past, all focused around the central storyline.
- Camp where you can talk to other party members, do acquired quests with quest sigils, or advance the storyline.
- Every character has a different role in battle strategic team selection and control will be a key to victory, you can't just constantly attack, or spam magic.
- No character will have shared skills, which adds to the individuality of them all.
I just need any sort of constructive criticism anyone can contribute to my project, and I will try to reply ASAP.

Updated Character Section with fighting styles of each character, and better descriptions. More characters coming soon! There are 18 in all. Also added a planned features section.

Sounds fun man. Anything that uses GubiD's system has got to be good in my book. I'm looking forward to seeing some screenshots of this game when they become available. I also like the idea of having characters that don't cross skills. Makes each character needed. Good luck on this and don't give up!

Thanks for the feedback...
I have officially finished inputting the skills for all characters, Monsters, and Bosses; there are 300+ skills.
The Planned features are now concrete, and I have begun mapping locales (not eventing, just mapping).
I'm still having trouble on deciding how to open my game.
