I think this belongs in
Video Games, Computers, and Consoles.
I've had the same problem, but with DVDs, I just removed and then reinstalled my programs, and it worked fine. The problem with me was the software I was using had somehow lost it's validation, and I had to reinstall it to input the code again. If you are using any software that requires things of that nature, like me who DL'd it from the internet and then bought it, and saved the code try inputting it - and if you can't figure out how, just remove it and reinstall.
Or, do as Rye said. I've had problems with my flashdrive options and the like when it came to things. Another possible solution is you may have accidentally removed the software - when I first got this comp and wanted to get rid of unwanted programs, I accidentally did this too - or a spyware/virus program has locked it for whatever reason.
Good luck.
