Night is Day
Overview
This is my 4th attempt at this concept, this time with RMXP. I'm hoping this time, it will catch on a little more ( more than 20 views..., I blame tha naughty hentai game XD, stole my viewers :P) This game i somewhat like Quintessential, being focused on story and atmoshpere (as well as art) more than gameplay. It's dark, but not occult and horror, just really dark. Plus I want to include live music (by me, or with some help) and LOTS of art.
Inspirations: Fragile, Quintessential, Final Fantasy XIII, Faerie Bones, His Dark Materials, Celestias Ferrum, and my recent book, Fermata.
The story is divided into Books, then Chapters.
Story
Night Is Day --- Story version 4.32
In modern day Hitrea, it is near the apocalypse. A giant black cloud formed in the center of Lathea, the capitol of the floating city. The center was the location of the Ulma Steeple, the Mass place of the High Church. From the steeple, came the large black mass that quickly overloomed the whole city. Sunlight is compltely blocked out. Fires breaking out everywhere. People dying from a plauge. Earthquakes bringing buildings to the ground. Mysterious Demons, black, winged beasts, roam the streets, stealing souls.
The Church is controlling the government under the influence of something even bigger - Lucifer himself. The Steeple, being the Mass place, is also a meeting place for the Church - which is feeding it's greed with whatever it wants.
Hitrea is a floating city, an island in the sky filled with populace. It was created thousands of years ago, and still stands. The ground is fertile, and the land is rich with greenery. The island is only 5 miles wide.
The Ulma Steeple is the supposed resting place of the Five Sages, who rose the city from the ground. No one was aloud down in the very cellar where they are supposed to be resting.
For the city's protection, a group of five were given the Emblems that the Sages wore. These five were called the Keepers. The Emblems were supposed to have special abilities given to the possesor.
Plot:
Asea starts his quest with no role in the story, but soon it unfolds, revealing his connection to the church, the girl, and about his past, blocking his future. The girl has a seems to have some sort of relation to Asea, as he soon discovers, and he is forced to face the fears of his past he has long tried to hide away. And the Church wants something of his - Michael, and with it they will have total control, and be like God.
Of course, you can't let that happen.
The goal is undermining the Chuch, and killing your Father - who ever so tortured you, and your city. To take revenge. To leave your past behind. With the help of the mysterious girl, and Michael, you engage on a journey, through past, and future;
It's a better way to die.
Additional story supports and info (Low spoiler warning):
The demons are angel without souls, stealing the souls of the living to fill there chasm of a heart. Though many die from their attempts, they're still left in their soulless forms.
When the shadows appear over the town, Asea is killed by demon, and revived by an angel's soul, which knows his destiny. In battle, you can stab yourself to release/summon the soul for a turn.

Special Abilities: Stabs himslef and brings forth the angel's spirit
Personality:
Careless, shadowy, and dark. He takes a unhealthy interest in the Church's dark side. Acts like he's above all fear, though he has a corrupted past as well as his current state of hidden misery.
Info:
Asea is an orphan, living on the streets of Hitrea's Upper side. Often he takes trips to the steeple, taking to curiosity, and finding many hidden doors, and forgotten alters. When the shadow forms over the town, the people of the floating city run to hide, while Asea stares profoundedly at the dark cloud. When he is left behind by the crowd, he's attacked by a Demon, and falls, losing his soul. Michael saves him by going inside of his body.
Background: He hasn't had a very good life. Abuse and then aboandoned at a very young age. Living on the streets since and early age.
Don't have anything else for his background yet.

Guide
Special Abilities: God's Hand, some other light stuff
Personality:
Bossy and acts like he is the "left hand man of God," with virtous and righteous duties. Yeah, yeah yeah....
Info:
The supposed "Ark Angel Michael," he acts as a guide to Asea. His body, like other angels, has become a Demon. He is unable to return to his body until the darkness has stopped, and "The Final Judgement" is made.
Mysterious Girl
Female
NPC
Personality: Mysterious, disapearing, and never says a word.
Info: Seen around the ruins and on rooftops, she wears a black nightdress, has long Black hair, and bright red eyes. Really ticks Asea off.
It's not my best, and it's a crappy scan, but you get an idea of what the demons are like.

I need help in the select areas (PM or email ( christopher9996@msn.com ) me):
Tilesets (only like 3 or so)
Charactersets (10 or so)
Pianist ( I can play and compose, I just can't record. A way to record would be just as nice)
Plus, I still have not figured out how to transition from my pencil drawing to the final digital, to make it look professional. It's just the line art! I really need some good steps for my drawings, going from the paper, to the final. I have Photoshop, Bamboo fun, and a scanner, pencils, brush pens, and a PC.
If you can help, that would be great.
