Oh, and neither should Nigger be made illegal or banned.

If we start illegalizing words or banning them from certain private markets we lose the ability to express ourselves and to say what we truly feel.
I am disgusted with racism and bigotries of all kind, and as stupid as it sounds the old joke (and no, Family Guy didn't invent it) of "I hate you and what you say but I'll die defending your right to say it" is true.
What's next?
Illegalize talking about slavery? The holocaust? Deny the most ingrained and simple of human learned and natural instincts? The ability to hate, to learn to hate? Don't hate because it's illegal, no. Don't hate because you don't want to - but never force someone to not be allowed to hate, or not be allowed to say what they hate.
It's like saying illegalize the word "menstruate". It ends more conversations than the word nigger by all counts I've seen.

The sad thing is do you know many people are truly afraid of "racial profiling" when they make police reports? Honestly, there are people out there who are afraid to say the person who robbed them was black. And if asked if he was light or dark, fumble around as if they were just accused of being in the KKK.
Alternatively how many people are the same when describing someone who happens to be Jewish and has the -oh no racist big nose. When will it end? A person of Swedish descent can't be profiled for being tall and blonde? Someone who is Irish - oh no, don't say they have really red hair or you're a bigot!
Things like this album, won't do shit. But people easily could if they stopped buying into this "You can't think" or you "can't say"/"can't feel" nature people try to ingrain into them. Hell if I'm going to do something band and someone has to fill out a police report on me and a seemingly racial or sexist or bigot in anyway remark is the best way to get the police to find me - I hope the bastard makes the comment.

Ahh, gimme a break. That album won't hurt a soul. We're outt'a the slavery era. Words can't hurt us any more. My girlfriend calls me "Her Negro" and I call her "My little white girl". These terms for us are terms of affection. Even If I've been called a nigger with a racist edge, I don't give a damn. I'm not your slave and this is america so you can say what you want. Does that mean, that I won't deck you? Not necessarily, but what I trying to say is, people need to get over the fact that there will always be people who use those type of words to demean, ya's just gotta learn to live with it.
