New website and forum

I know what it looks like, but I don't mean this as advertising. I just spent a few days installing the forum and setting up the website and would like some feedback, is all.

I have recently set up a new website and forum for my game... I'd like some opinions if anyone has any. In the words of Bob Geldoff: "Gimme yer f'ing opinions!" (Yes I know it was money. And yes I know he never actually said that.)...

The forum is by SimpleMachines, as I know how to use them and from what I've seen they are fairly reliable, and easy to maintain.

For now the website is hosted on Freepgs, with a domain name by co.nr, but in time I'll probably be hosting it on my own server with a better domain name.

There are two ads on the website too, I'd like opinions on their placement too.



Note: The old site was lost when my webhost's database server mashed. The database was the only thing I forgot to backup when I went on holiday. :s (Seriously, I even backed up all the games I have ever made in the past @_@).

The only nagging issue I had (note I looked at it for all of 5 seconds to see if it was horrid advertising or whatever), is that the page goes white every time you load something. Also the color scheme on your message board is terrible

The colour scheme is messed up on the forum at the moment because I'm trying to fix the bug Lackluster pointed out.

I dunno why it goes white every time, I think it is something to do with the .co.nr domain name, set up wrongly or something. I'll see if I can sort it out. (There's two ways of setting it up you see, as a real domain name through the nameservers and shiz, or just as a redirect domain which I used, as my host didn't support the other at that time).
Edit: They stopped doing that service. Damn.

I dunno, maybe it's just me, but the main page's top banner is not appearing. Aside from that, it looks pretty plain, and uninspired. Since you're having issues with your forum, I guess I can't say much about that at the moment.

I've worked on the site a bit more, there's a banner above all pages now and the main page now has two columns (one for the main text, one will have things such as "latest screenshot" or "latest news" etc).

that banner, and the 'register/download' thing on the right makes it look better.

It's the way I made the website, the banner is made from two images spliced. But that's strange, both images load for me, in both Firefox and IE7.
