Greetings!
I am a long time lurker and first time registered poster! Great resources here! You guys rock!
So anyway, on to my question:
Is it possible to use a "timed button press" style combat system with RMXP? What I am describing is something similar to Mario and Luigi Super Star Saga where you press a button as the attack hits and it does extra damage or something. Is it possible to bring up a meter or a series of button combinations that must be pressed to do special moves? Would this work more easily with scripts or events? I apologize, I am a super noob as I have not had much time to create my own games, and have had to enjoy the games of others and reading about their creation due to work/class eating my time up!
I hope my question makes sense. I just want to make combat a bit more involved so that it doesnt feel too automatic. Thanks!
