New Transformers Cartoon on Cartoon Network

Anyone happen to see the new Transformers cartoon?  As a fan of the original, I was sorely disappointed.  It was pretty bad.  The animation is not very good and Optimus Prime's voice sounds like a little kid.  He's suppose to be the old, wise leader.  Plus, they will barely fight the decepticons.  Instead they will fight other things, like monsters and such. 

I don't know, but it was too different to be the Transformers for me.

I know, it is pretty bad.  They tried to capitalize on the movie and failed miserably.  I wish they would not try to change things so much.

Yeah, it just started.  And I think the official title is Transformers Animated.  There is another episode on tomorrow night, I think.

At firts I got spooked out by the design.... to simple and cartoonish but in the end I liked it... much better than "Transformers Robots In Disguise"/"Transformers Armada"/"Transformers Universe"/"Transformers Energon"/"Transformers Cybertron"... I mean... if it werent for the movie and this new cartoon.... Transformers got totally screwed up after "Beast Machine"
.... though Transformers G1 ftw!! and the 86 movie

Edit: But all that cliche of the new leader and building the teams trust in that new leader and each other..... "Beast wars" already did that... they should have tried experimenting with some other story angle

Lets face it, TV today has screwed up all of the good cartoons and movies of the past. Teenage mutant ninja turtles? All they ever do is say kowabunga and act like a moron from the beach. Transformers? Little 3 year olds laugh because they think Optimus Prime is funny. Corporate bastards!

It's amazing how all of the toons and toys from the 80's have made comebacks.  Albeit, strange, updated comebacks.  The only thing is, it is nice to see that some of these characters have continued on in various forms.

Except the new TMNT was actually pretty good because it went back to the super dark, gritty streets of New York feel the comic book had.  The FOX cartoon of TMNT ruined the comic book with the bright colors and SURFER DEWDS dialog.

The turtles were modeled after hardcore italians (hence their names) and Splinter raised them as assassins to kill Shredder because of an old feud.  They were practically the mafia.

The reason the deceticons barely show up is because the creators wanted them to be a "big deal" when they appear, instead of being bumbling fools. i myself thought it was pretty good. are you a G1 purist? just curious..........

Yes, I am.  I grew up on G1 so some of the newer versions just seem wrong to me, I guess...LOL.  I'll give it a few more episodes, but I am just not too sure just yet.

Man, back when I was little(er), Beast Wars was the shit. I'd wake up every saturday morning just to watch it all the way through. Never missed an episode. Anyways, this new one looks like utter shit, so I'm avoiding it. The latest movie (The Michael Bay on, not the animated one) was pretty good in my opinion. Of course, many will disagree, but w/e.

Armada made me want to kill babys... and wtf with starscream on that one?... why did they put him like this honorable warrior that sacrificed himself for the sake of all goodiness ....Starscream suposly was the dispicable traitor that wanted nothing but power.... like in that new series, see... just fot that its already better than armada niaha XD
