Actually, if you download our game all of our resources are free for the taking. If not I have a few resource packs I put together that could be useful although not the most up to date.

I think I could offer you some advice as far as "things you shouldn't do in a Mario fan game" (let me pretend like I know what I'm talking about, lol) but I don't think I'd be able to be of much help to you beyond that and the aforementioned resources.

This looks really good. (I'm also a part of ICU). It looks like a lot of work as well, but if you have the drive any game can be finished. I'm curious about what sort of gameplay style you plan yo use for this, like SMRPG Seven Stars, Paper Mario style, or a Mario & Luigi style.

I'm glad that you like our game. I think you're talking about Seven Sages. We have a new one we're working on as well called Starlite Worlds. It's made on Rpg maker XP so we both probably have XP related issues and stuff we can talk about.

The gameplay will be pretty much like super mario rpg. I just finished the costum isometric script, its working like charm . Also Im working on a new indoor tileset ill send a screenshot soon.

I use blender 3D. A freeware.

What are you using to achieve your isometric environment? Is it a script, or just "fake" isometric? Looks awesome.

Im using a costum version of f0tz pixel movement. The fluidity and the isometric fealing is just perfect :p

I have all I need to do cut scenes. But its far from being a priority right now. Maybe there will be some for the story and the cbs... But for the moment im focusing on gameplay and graphics.

I'd suggest Hypercam. It does both sound and video but for sound I would reccomend getting a wirewith a jack at each end as currently hypercam uses microphone and speaker to record. The sound qualty with the latter is crap.

First off this looks pretty cool overall and it seems you are putting a lot of work into it. I think using a pixel movement script to create an isometric view is ingenious. The story is very cute and mario-like. How are you going to handle the battle system? Is it going to be like Paper Mario where you can double jump and battling is more interactive or is it just classic RPG?
