"New" style face

Well after a while I decided to make a face for a sideproject I'm working on, and this is what happened:

I tried to give it an 'anime' feel. Its supposed to be a girl, but she's a crossdresser, so she had to look like a boy too. C&C on this please

i think the hair needs a little more volume, and the forehead needs to be more rounded into the hair... if that makes sense. and hair usually comes from the top-back-center of the head, not the direct top.... other than that, it looks great...

Ah I see what you mean, Envellope (I think). The hair looks better on the back now and the front seems to fit better.. I could've just given you the uncolored version, that might've been easier for you to edit.

I'll post the update this afternoon, because I don't have time for it right now. Keep on giving me feedback people

One thing, I didn't add volume to her hair just yet, because I wanted to have some comments on this first.

I actually like your art style It looks like something out of an 80s anime (my favorite style of art) or a Mecha series.

I also noticed that the eye of the face is a little moved from its position, But it looks cool man...

What program are you using? The anti-aliasing looks poor, it varies program to program.

nothing new style about it. it's anime. but it' snot awful, and since thats what you were going for, mission accomplished.

Still, "new style face" .. misleading.

I agree with pretty much everythign said so far, not much to elaborate on. But I like Envelope's version of the outline better ... It looks more ... How to say it-- honed.

Keep trying though, you'll get it :')

Try making the difference between the bottom of the nose and the top lip a little sharper. Right now, it's a curved line, but Envelope's has a defined difference between the bottom on the nose and the top lip.

@Envelope: GIMP is the program I use, because Photoshop is expensive.

@Mascarpone: it's a new way to draw faces for me, so that's why I made that the title. Sorry if it's confusing, but it was the best name I could come up with.

@Zephyrskye: I get your point. It's actually quite obvious now that you mention it.

Ok, thanks for all your feedback so far, just keep giving C&C
