Netplay Plus. . . is it ever going to be updated?!

Netplay Plus. . .  is it ever going to be updated?!  I mean seriously, I HAD to get RMXP wwwwaaaaayyyyyy after everything else.  I am DYING for ansewers here, because I need to make an MMORPG!

Oh, and if is in the wrong place, move it by all means.

I haven't seen an update for it since I've been here and albeit a short time I've seen a lot topics regarding your question. Sadly I don't think we will any time soon. I think Netplay was too ambitious for its own good. Proof of concept rather than plug and play features in my mind.

I do wish you luck with your project though. I would ask that you consider just creating an awesome RPG and leave the MMO's to Sony and Blizzard and the 50 korean companies that think chibby(sp?) is the end all be all.

Netplay+ 2.0 took too long to be released so everyone lost interest, Mr.Mo and Meâ„¢ left for some reason, and the whole project sort of collapsed. It needs a good scripter to take up the project again, but all the good scripters either leave RMXP because they are now good programmers from it (i.e. Near Fantastica), or have their own projects to worry about.

So, there's no hope for netplay ever again? T.T  I would set up my own server, but I have no clue how.
