Neo Mode 7

I've waiting for McCaladtogel to finish his script,
but he has a bigger project to do.... i didn't wanna to disturb him..
i have some request to you all >.<

please make {Q} button to rotate to the left, and
{W} button to rotate right... and also if you insist,
add 8 way movement and with  sprite support ^^

Currently I'm working on more complex scripts, but not related to mode 7.
I didn't intend to add controls in the mode 7 script, because I wanted to release a very basic engine.
I added some methods to increase the different angles, and I think that any scripter can create a small script that will assign buttons to those methods.
But I really don't have the time now.
 
Revee, I think MGC's demo explains very well all you need to know to use the basic features of his script. Just look at the events on the map.
But if you want to wait a little bit, I'm about to release a demo of my FF6 Starter Kit which will feature the Airship system.

now i've encountered a problem....

i used event script... to rotate,( to test the rotation...) i'm testing to rotate 180 degree...
but the key direction change UP become DOWN, LEFT become RIGHT... anyone who can fix this...? by the way dargor, isn't your airship used rmvx?

and the event on the map(dargor) I can't use the "increase theta" thing...

Please edit your post next time instead of double-posting ~Dargor

I don't recall that. Maybe the directional buttons change so that you always go UP when pressing UP when the Theta is different.

No. I use some of the RGSS2 Graphics and Audio features in my SDK but everything else is XP.

You should be able. Everything works fine in MGC's demo.
Make sure you're using the script call like that:

um..... yeah, i mean... can you edit it? when the theta change 180,  the directional button change?  also for 90, 270... sorry for the trouble... and ... please L for left and R for right and so the 8 directional movement with sprite support....

so, when the theta changed to 180, UP(theta 0) become DOWN, and so on, when theta 90, UP(theta 0) become LEFT(theta 90) , RIGHT(theta 0) become DOWN(theta 90) , LEFT(theta 0) become DOWN(theta 90) , and RIGHT(theta 0) become UP(theta 90) ...

and for 270 theta is the opposite of 90theta...
for 180 theta the opposite 0/360 theta...

because i have no experience of editing rgss at all....

p.s. i think if the directional key changed like that, other theta will have no problem... like 45,135,215, and soon...
 
That's funny actually, because it's the first thing I did when messing around with this script. I think I still have it somewhere but I'M at work right now so it will have to wait a bit. If I don't have it anymore, I can make it again for you when I have free time.

anyway, your FF VI used mode 7 too? and the particle engine in the screenshot looks promising! keep it up!

and, did you realize, if your enchancement for neo mode 7 combined with time and seasonal script by eharper 256?, when morning, there's a sun beam! when you rotate it to a specified degree, the sun beam will come out, but if you rotate to another degree, the sunbeam will dissapear, and make sun and moon panorama that changed depending on what time is it!!! hahahaha

not possible isn't it ? i just can imagine and dream about it!! hahaha ^0^

now the big problem for mode 7... after you change map ( transfer player ) keys, sometimes your map became "flat" (RMXP Default) and sometimes became NeoMode7... anyone can fix this....?
